POP-UP Store “LaDureé”

Brief

Student work // The aim of the project was to create a pop-up store for LaDureé brand in Barcelona, referring to city’s identity without losing its own style.

Concept

LaDureé needs an oniric concept that talks about dreams adapted to brand’s aesthetics. That created visual imaginary entitled “dreamy minimalism”, tends to unfold a sensorial universe in which a simple and elegant fairy tale integrates the personality of LaDureé and the cosmopolitan character of Barcelona.

In order to create an appropriate visual universe which empowers that oniric concept, two main elements have been used: the Story Castle and the Enchanted Forest.

COLLABORATORS

For this project we would like to collaborate with the interior designer Jaime Hayón. The floors have an excess importance in his work, a characteristic that fits perfectly at the use of tiles reinforcing the link with the city of Barcelona.

In the graphic part we would like to work with the young designer Shantell Martin, who can increase the repercussion of the pop up store. For the realization of the ceramic trees, we would try to incorporate the skills of Anna Barlow – a specialist on creating ceramic desserts that balance between realistic and fantasy forms.

visual universe

The project merges “LaDureé” Neo-Baroque style with “dreamy minimalism” concept creating the desired dreaming outline. This design, in addition to the use of white as main colour, might be too soft for a city such as Barcelona. Thus, the intervention in the space with the work of Shantall Martin, brings an elegant and yet disruptive touch.
